- Thumbs-Up for Trees Earth Day Campaign Plants Thousands of Trees

- Last month, StumbleUpon partnered with the National Forest Foundation and Tiki Barber, retired New York Giants running back and NFF Board member, to raise awareness around restoring our National Forests. With your help, we widely spread the message for the cause and raised thousands of dollars for the National Forest Foundation, enabling them to plant 25,000 trees.
We are thrilled with the outcome of the Thumbs-Up for Trees Campaign and thank you for making it such a great success.

- The engineers report that they have finished their planned maintenance slot early (see our previous bulletin)- and SU is now back up and running!

- This Sunday, April 20th, we will be relocating the equipment in our Data Center.

- The engineers will be making improvements to the system during a regular maintenance slot today at 20:00 pm PDT. We expect the slot to last 20 minutes at most, so don't panic if you lose access for a short while.
Note that PST is 7 hours behind GMT.

- We now have thumbnails available for your favorite websites on StumbleUpon!
You can choose between two display modes (Display: List - Grid, on the right hand side of your favorites tab) to see listed reviews with thumbnails added, or a 5x5 grid of someone's favorite photos, videos, etc. You can also turn these off if you want, under the "public profile" section of your profile preferences.
Thanks to Joewalp, Eric and George for their hard work on this new feature. Comments/suggestions are appreciated in our Beta Group... we'll be adjusting this feature over the coming weeks based on your feedback :)

- The engineers are making improvements to the system during a regular maintenance slot today at 21:00 pm PST (GMT-8.00hrs), lasting around two hours. StumbleUpon will be *down* during this time!
These changes will improve the speed in querying key elements of the Stumble-databases, resulting in faster responses when stumbling and rating.

- The engineers are making further improvements to the system during a regular maintenance slot today at 10:00 am PST, lasting around an hour.
These changes will improve our reliability in the event of hardware failure, and prepare the systems for growth over the coming months.

- We're going to do another round of database maintenance on Tuesday, December 18th at 11:30am PST. Just making a few more changes to improve the reliability and speed of Stumbling. The StumbleUpon site will be down during this maintenance period - expected duration is one hour.
